At L.A. Sound Design, our goal is to provide precise, professional work done in a courteous and timely manner. We will help the client in finding their unique voice and tone through the selection of the equipment, the wiring and configuration, and application consultation. We have a gallery showroom displaying the finest in boutique instruments, amps and equipment. With our equipment finding service, we will locate the pedals or rack pieces for you to complete your board or rack. One of the most important aspects of L.A. Sound Design is communication. We will listen to the client and work directly with them to meet their needs. All e-mails and calls, in most cases, will be returned within a day. What is the ohm of the volume pot?
I have two vol pots. 250k on the single coils. 500k on the Humbucker.

The real 80s clean is middboost on but the boost at the lowest setting. Just to bring back the lost highs and lows.
There's clearly a Phase 90 after the Dynacomp and before the Maxon OD.
Alex is a man of taste. That Tyler spec is absolutely awesome. Dream guitar

The new Seymour Duncan Hot Stacks are pretty close to the old ones.
what amp are you playing through? Is the amp clean?
Synergy Preamp with the Morgan AC-30 for clean and the JCM-800 for lead with a JHS Angry Charlie.

Hey Dave & Alex! Great demo of Alex's Tyler guitar. I love the pickups and midboost preamp/preamp bypass, preamp bypass, neck bridge on button, Series Parallel switches. Lead/Rhythm switch. The pickup switching options has a lot of cool useful sounds. The effects setup sounded great too! What is the body & neck wood used on the guitar? I've played a Tyler guitar once and loved the sound of it.

Those guitars are really amazing. For the 80s tone, would you prefer regular bridge over Floyd or it doesn’t have much impact?
Either one, but the Floyd would be closer.
But it still sounds like Eddie. Namastè.
Awesome sounds! Echoplex works amazingly in the front of the amp, very sensitive to the guitar's volume pot. Also, why did you use GE-10 in the loop? Eddie used it in the front to boost the solos afaik.

Schmo for days! Lovely. Do you happen to know if that little HX One also has the Tri Chorus in it? Never had a real TSC unit to compare it to, but the model in my Helix sounds really close to my ears (compared to demo's I've heard online of the original TSC).

The chorus, Delay, Flange and trem must be pretty good on the blue one because Mike Campbell from the Heartbreakers uses it live! Who knows maybe even in the studio!

Still surprises me that people are building these monster boards. You have a switcher, put it all in a rack, have a midi controller on the floor. I'll never go back to a pedal board. The hologram for instance is something you want to be able to tweak, if it's on the floor you just won't play with it. If it's in a draw you will.

Hi Dave, subscriber here.. Have you considered mic-ing in stereo because the phone mic is undermining your GREAT work.. Just get an Irig Pro Duo, into your phone, 2x Sm57s, cpl stands n Analysis Plus cables.. I mean, its such a small investment considering the results.. Phone mics are ABSOLUTELY sub-standard. Especially for YOUR KILLER Boards!
Thanks. I am using a stereo mic into my camera. I think it represents the sound of the board in the room pretty well. I don't have to time to deal with mike placement and eq-ing as well as syncing audio and video. I am very busy wiring.
